Buckner Foundation awards over $390,000 at year end

The Buckner Foundation issued another round of grants for its fiscal year, which ended June 30.

Eighteen organizations in total received funds this quarter, which totaled $396,318.

The following organizations were awarded:

— Community pantry, in Marshall, $23,000

—Fitzgibbon Hospital, $50,000

—Habitat for Humanity, $7,318

—Marshall Chamber of Commerce, $12,200

—Marshall Public Library Foundation, $5,000

—Missouri River Bird Observatory, $20,000

—Nelson Baptist Church, $25,000

—Nicholas Beazley Aviation Museum, $25,000

—Riley Equine Center, $3,800

—Saline Animal League, $5,000

—Saline County Career Center, $50,000

—Saline County Fair Association, $50,000

—Saline County Historical Society, $10,000

— Sedalia Area Dream Factory, $25,000

—Sweet Springs Community Pantry, $20,000

—Sweet Springs Restoration Foundation, $25,000

—Tri-County Outreach, $15,000

—Waverly Swim Club, $25,000

The purpose of the Buckner Foundation is to support charitable, 501(c)3 non-profit organizations that benefit residents of Saline County and surrounding areas.
