Sebring BOE to meet

The Sebring School Board will hold a special meeting at 7 a.m. Monday in the boardroom of the Administrative Office to terminate the employment of Ryan Jones as Acting Treasurer and Brian Stidham as Acting Payroll, as well as to discuss the discipline of an employee or public official.

Annual Christmas Concert

Allegheny Wesleyan College will hold its annual Christmas concert, “Here is this child”, at 7 p.m. on December 17 at the Salem High School Auditorium. The music for the prelude will begin at 6:45 p.m. Entrance is free, a voluntary dedication will be taken.

2nd Friday at Minerva

The Minerva Region Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Second Friday event, encouraging shoppers to visit downtown between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. on December 10.

Simply scarves. . . and Tel, 111 N. Market St., will host a Holiday Open House, 6-8 p.m. cancer and other fatal diseases. The boutique is also open on Fridays from noon to 5 p.m.

The Market Street Art Spot will present “Winter white” showcasing winter artwork by the gallery’s resident artists and other artists from the region. Live music will be provided by Tom Freeland from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Haas Museum at the Minerva Historical Society will be open from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., before the society’s Christmas concert by the Alliance Symphony Orchestra Big Band at the Roxy Theater at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $ 10 each and are available from members of the historical society.

Sphon’s CCW & Armory will be open until 7 p.m., with gifts for outdoor enthusiasts on your list.

Party at Camp Frederick

Camp Frederick, 6996 Millrock Road, Rogers, will host its first Christmas festival from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on December 11. A highlight will be a live nativity scene with animals. There will also be a lighted hiking trail leading to a Christmas village that features a gingerbread house, reindeer games, a toy store, and Santa’s house. Kids can decorate cookies, play games, make crafts, and visit Santa. Everyone can join in the Christmas carols while warming up by the fireplace. Cookies, hot chocolate and cider will be on sale at the lodge. Admission to the event is $ 10 per car. (This is not an in-car event.) Light exhibition fundraising

There will be a Drive By Christmas light show from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on December 10 at 40287 Kelly Park Road, Leetonia. All donations were donated to the medical care of Sofia Anguili. Sofia suffers from a rare, progressive, life-limiting disease called leukodystrophy, which limits her ability to walk, speak and swallow. Father Christmas will be on site with bags of treats for the children. To avoid traffic jams, enter the north end of Kelly Park from Lower Elkton.

Tag Day in Wellsville

The Wellsville Care and Share Community Club (formerly the Wellsville Lions Club) will be hosting a Tag Day today. The proceeds of the Tag Day will be used to support the “Care and sharing programâ€. This program has been in existence for over 40 years and has provided Christmas dinner supplies to families in need as well as toys for the children. Usually, baskets of food were prepared and toys were purchased according to families’ requests. Last year, due to Covid-19 restrictions, food gift cards for 130 families and toy gift cards for 120 children were distributed. “Care and share” is supported by many individuals, clubs, businesses and churches in the village.

Underground Railroad

Seats are still available for the Salem Historical Society Underground Railroad tours on December 11 at 2 p.m. The cost is $ 15 per person. All riders are requested to wear a mask. Previous participants have found the tour very informative and learned about the plight of the fleeing slaves as they sought freedom while traveling through Salem. People on foot, if space is available, are welcome before the departure time at the Dale Shaffer Library, 239 S. Lundy Ave. The trolley is accessible to disabled people. Stuff a Cruiser Event

The Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a Stuff a Cruiser event at the Family Dollar in Guilford Lake from noon to 6 p.m. today. New unpackaged toys collected will go to Nina’s Closet and Children’s Services Angel Tree program this year. Toys can also be dropped off at the Sheriff’s Offices on County Home Road and at the County Courthouse.
