Heritage Alliance organizes a photography contest

Photographer Robert Frank said, “There is one thing that photography should contain, the humanity of the moment.”

Heritage Alliance seeks to capture the humanity of moments in Warren County with a photography contest, a fundraiser to advance the organization’s historic preservation work conducted at the museum, and its other efforts.

Hit them with your best shot…winter, spring, summer or fall. Prizes will be awarded for first place in each category and an overall Best of Show from those four categories. There is an entry fee of $10 per category entered.

Rules:

• Must be a photo the entrant has taken within the last two years in Warren County.

• Only one photo per category allowed.

• It should be printed in 8×10 format and mounted on an 11×14 white poster board.

• It cannot be matted or framed.

• Name, telephone number and e-mail address on the back of the bulletin board.

The winner of each category will have their photo on a one-of-a-kind ornament, which they will receive. Additional ornaments with the photo will be offered for sale to continue the organization’s fundraising efforts. The five winners will have their photos displayed at the Heritage Museum and the Harrison Cabin in Fairfield Village during the Warren County A&L Fair in September.

The deadline for submission is July 31. Photos and the $10 entry fee can be submitted to Heritage Alliance President Cody Prince at the High Funeral Home on College Street.

Winners will be announced by August 13. For more information, visit Heritage Alliance of McMinnville and Warren County on Facebook.
