The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport – the UK equivalent of the US Federal Trade Commission – recently launched an investigation into streaming profits that do not pass from labels to artists, performers and composers.

Meanwhile, stars such as Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney are demanding that labels give artists a fair share of profits.[1]
